Chairperson

Albert Madrigal chairperson@atlanticalanoclub.org

Albert was born and raised in Southern California. After a short stay in the Bay Area, he moved down to Long Beach, CA and has called Long Beach home since 2017.  Despite the non-linear path of his recovery journey, discovering a dependable and supportive environment such as the Alano Club has transformed the process, making it a welcoming and enjoyable experience. He is looking forward to programming events that help connect people to the Alano Club and foster a community so many of us long for. 
Secretary

Melanie was born in Northern California. She moved to Southern California in adulthood and has resided in the area for almost 20 years. She moved to Long Beach in 2022 and immediately found a sobriety home in the Atlantic Alano Club. She has enjoyed being of service to the sobriety community in various roles and looks forward to this new opportunity to raise awareness of membership for the Atlantic Alano Club. When she is not at the Atlantic Alano Club, Melanie is a full-time fundraising professional and consultant.
Treasurer

Al is a native of New Orleans and has lived in Long Beach for the past 17 years. He earned his B.S in Accounting and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. Al has been attending meetings at the Atlantic Alano Club since 2019 and has previously served on the board as the Membership, Ad hoc and Secretary chair. He is looking forward to continuing his service to the Atlantic Alano Club in this new capacity as treasurer.
Ad Hoc Committee

Ad Hoc Committee Chairperson is currently an open position. This chairperson is responsible for planning and executing events outside of the Atlantic Alano Club, such as outreach, LB Pride Parade and the NYE Black and Gold party. If interested, you must be a dues paying member of the AAC with a year or more of continuous sobriety. Please email the AAC Board at board @atlanticalanoclub.org for further information.
Building Committee

Kevin is a retired Associate Professor of English from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, where he taught basic writing, composition, and literature for 18 years. A native of Southern California, Kevin has been clean and sober since August 19, 2023, and he counts service work as the cynosure of his sobriety.
Programs Committee

Eduardo was born and raised in Southern California, currently residing in San Pedro, CA. The Atlantic Alano Club was the first club house he attended and where he has found his community. Eduardo found his passion of volunteering and being of service while being part of the 2024 KISSAR Committee. He enjoys the opportunity to give back and put on fun events for his community which has prompted him to begin his journey as the Programs Committee for the Atlantic Alano Club.
Membership Committee

Membership Committee Chairperson is currently an open position. This chairperson is responsible for maintaining the membership rolls, recruiting new club members and is responsible for member complaints to be forwarded to the Board of Directors.
